Your website is the one place on the web where you have complete control and you make the rules. If you store all your content on someone else site (ie. Facebook or Instagram) you are not in control of it and it could disappear tomorrow. Take a minute to see how to build your own digital assets so that you aren’t reliant on someone else’s digital property.

Digital Sharecropping: The Most Dangerous Threat to Your Content Marketing Strategy

Depending on another site to house your content is dangerous. Sites such as Facebook and Instagram are owne by others and you have to play by their rules, and those rules can change at any time. 1. A well-designed website with your own hosting
  2. An opt-in email list, ideally with a high-quality autoresponder
  3. A reputation for providing impeccable value
